Armored Core 4 can be a challenging game to play. Here are some tips to help you gain an upper hand.

Decide Your Role
Your style of play changes the way you design your mech.

For those who love blasting your enemies from faraway vintage points, go for range and attack damage rather than agility.

For those who prefer to stay out of enemy lock on range while you pound them, choose sniper canon and long range missiles.

For those who like scrapping in and out of the battle, go for close range weapons such as laser blades and rapid fire guns.

Balance Your Mechs
Do note that while having a mech that can fire missile and sniper cannons can be a pleasure, it makes your mech a sitting duck due to your low agility.

Do also note that it isi better for you not to skew your mech towards one style of play as missions may surprise you with foes that you are not prepared for.

Safety in numbers
Different missions will naturally have different armament requirements so listening to your mission briefing carefully and keeping a stable of different mechs would be your best bet. Buy your Armored Core 4 here.

If you have never played Armored Core 4(AC) before, you may in for a shock- ‘cos even 15 fingers may not be enough for you to play this game well.

You need to juggle between flying with the thrusters, managing the overboost and countering enemy missile strikes with your own missiles. As always, Armoured Core is about designing your giant robot warriors or “mechs” and taking them into battle.

Most of the time you would be out there fighting unless of course you are a hardcore mech fan who prefer to spend more time at the garage. The game emphasise on the customisation process and every part have a distinct effect on your mech’s performance.

One nice feature of the design systemis the ability to let the system auto-balance your mech’s stabilisers. This can help new players to pick up their choice weapons as the system optimise the rest.

After tweaking, it is time to head out. The mission setiing is pretty standard. As a mercenary, you accept jobs for cash. The cash you earn will help you boost up your hardware.

Each Armored Core 4 mission is short and last usually no more than 2 minutes. This can be a real pain. Of course, this is offset by the improved graphics compared to previous editions. With solid action, this game allows you to build and pilot a spider legged mech with giant plasma cannons on each shoulder.
